ntity funding is a Globally integrated, exclusively dedicated, infrastructure finance organization with bespoke risk management and insurance based structured products.   They provide senior financing to corporations and private entities to fund or refinance, their infrastructure and other project finance needs.  Funding can be structured either as a direct loan or structured debt instrument or as a capital asset lease

Entity’s funding may be used to fund every aspect of an infrastructure project, including both operating and capital expenditures.  Examples of infrastructure projects include, but are not limited to:  transportation projects, housing projects, utility systems, communication systems, and other economic, health, social and cultural programs.  Their funding may also be used to refinance existing government debt or finance public-private partnerships.

The foundation of this Entity’s financing program is based on creating a credit-driven investment decision versus an analysis based on the value of a specific asset.  They are able to underwrite projects in this manner by working with clients to secure an irrevocable letter of credit from a highly rated, tier one, financial institution.  The letter of credit allows them to underwrite their risk profile based on the strength of the project and that of the letter of credit bank, thus buffering any possible credit driven events on the project level.

Because the Entity’s Finance is focused on the credit quality of a project versus the asset valuation, they have the ability to offer funds with attractive features:
  •     Financing term may be as long as 30 to 40 years
  •     Interest only for the duration of the financing with principal due at loan maturity
  •     Available in developed and emerging markets outside of the United States
  •     Minimal and straightforward loan covenants and restrictions
  •     Funding serves as both construction and permanent financing (there is no need to refinance a construction loan into permanent financing)
  •     100% loan to value the funding, thus eliminating the need for equity
Variable interest rate based on 30-Day LIBOR and the credit quality of the DPLC provider versus the credit quality of the underlying project, thus providing funding at a lower interest rate
  •     Ability to prepay any, or all, principal amount, at any time, with no prepayment penalties after five years
  •     Few loan covenants and restrictions than those typically imposed by a commercial bank or institutional bondholder
  •     Any assets or project collateral is pledged to the Direct Pay Letter of Credit  and not to the Entity

The Entity’s funding process begins with a client submitting a Loan Application Form.  If acceptable, the Entity will issue a formal Letter of Intent to fund the project. After a 30-day due diligence period during which the DPLC institution is selected, the Entity will issue a formal Financing Commitment Letter.  The entire process takes approximately 90-120 days.
